The splendor of Kanapaha Botanical Gardens' meadows, gardens and lakeside forests offers numerous settings for those who wish to make the beauty of nature a part of their wedding or other social function. Over the years, the facility has hosted hundreds of weddings and can offer both a uniquely beautiful visual backdrop for private ceremonial functions and a comfortable setting for receptions and other social gatherings. Additionally, Kanapaha's visitors center, Summer House, has facilities for indoor events.

OUTDOOR EVENTS:

Weekday rates (9 a.m. Monday through 5 p.m. Friday): $90/hour (3 hour minimum) plus $100 (refundable) damage deposit. Reservation deposit $150 (non-refundable); balance due 30 days before event.

Weekend rates: A payment of $500 will reserve a site for a 4 hour period (9 a.m.-1 p.m. or 2 p.m.-6 p.m.) and entitles up to 160 people to free admission. Guests need only identify themselves to the admission attendant and they will be directed to the reserved site. A $250 (non-refundable) deposit is required to reserve an outdoor site Electrical service is available at all three sites.

Outdoor rentals are "fair weather" affairs, ie. it is the responsibility of the renting party to make any alternate arrangements (including space reservation in Summer House) in the event of inclement weather. The probability of rain at any given time is relatively small and we will be happy to advise you concerning the most propitious times to schedule an event and to suggest sites that will meet your specific needs taking into account season and time of day. Kanapaha Botanical Gardens will make waste receptacles available, but the renting party is responsible for trash pick up, removal of decorations, and leaving the site in good condition.

INDOOR EVENTS:

Kanapaha's visitors center, Summer House, has two spaces available for rentals. These
are:

The Reception Hall can accommodate up to 160 individuals seated theater style or 125 seated round table style. Set-up will be provided for either arrangement.

The Conference Room can accommodate up to 125 individuals seated theater style or 100 seated round table style.

The cost of renting either of these spaces is:

-Weekday rates (9 a.m. Monday through 5 p.m. Friday): $90/hr. (3 hr. minimum) plus
$200 (refundable) damage deposit. Reservation deposit (non-refundable): $250; balance due 30 days before event.

-Weekend rates/daytime: $600 for 4 hrs. (Saturday, Sunday: 9 a.m.-1 p.m. or 2 p.m.-6 p.m.
or $1,100/day (9 hrs., includes use of kitchen at no cost) plus $200 (refundable) damage deposit. Reservation deposit (non-refundable): $250; balance due 30 days before event.

-Evening rates (Weekday or weekend): $680 for 4 hr. (Weekday 6 p.m.-10 p.m., Saturday, Sunday 7 p.m.-11 p.m.) plus $400 (refundable) damage/overtime deposit. Reservation deposit (non-refundable): $250; balance due 30 days before event.

-Weekend special/afternoon & evening, inside & outside: $1,100 for 9 hr. (Sat., Sun. 2 p.m.-11 p.m.) plus $400 (refundable) damage/overtime deposit. No charge for use of kitchen. Reservation deposit (non-refundable): $250; balance due 30 days before event.

Note: Individuals wishing to utilize both outdoor sites and Summer House space during their 4 hour weekend rental period may do so for a total fee of $700 plus a $200 (refundable) damage deposit for weekend daytime events; $780 plus a $400 (refundable) damage/overtime deposit for weekend evening events (no outdoor activities permitted after dusk). Reservation deposit (non-refundable): $250; balance due 30 days before event.

Kitchen Rental: Use of the kitchen, including counters, sinks, refrigerator, freezer, ice machine and microwave, is available for a charge of $125.

If the rental occurs during Kanapaha's regular hours of operation, excessively loud music (to be determined by Kanapaha Botanical Gardens staff) is not allowed.

All rentals, indoor and outdoor, are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. The non-refundable rental deposit is required to reserve the site of your choice and the balance is due one month before the event. In case of cancellation, any monies paid for site reservation, except the deposit, will be refunded. Additionally, a damage deposit must be made when the site is rented. This deposit will be fully refunded if the rental activity does not exceed the scheduled time bloc and leaves the site free of litter and in good condition. The rental fee includes chairs/tables arranged to your specifications as well as all rehearsals and subsequent reception should you choose to also schedule this function during your rental period. This assumes that all functions will occur during Kanapaha's regular hours of operation which are:

Sat., Sun. 9 till dusk
(Closed Thursday)

Please note: Kanapaha closes at 5 p.m. every Friday
